Anna has worked with children, young people and families for over 20 years in both government and non-government organisations. She specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and young people presenting with psychiatric, emotional and behavioural problems, and in assisting parents implement parent management strategies. Anna is committed to supporting families with the difficult challenges they often face, and in doing so, helping children to re-engage with ordinary everyday childhood tasks.

Anna has combined her many years in clinical practice with her passion for horses to create the heads and tails approach. This pioneering process embraces the qualities that horses offer with the unique ability of children and young people to create change.

Emma has spent 20 years working and playing with horses. For the last 15 years she has been a full time riding coach specialising in building a positive progressive approach to overcoming insecurities and building riders skills.

Through the development of body awareness, emotional regulation and rational problem solving Emma helps children, young people and adults develop self-esteem and positive experiences. She is passionate about bringing the unique characteristics horses offer to the clinical setting.
Kalena Smitham

Kalena has more than 20 years of experience leading and coaching executives, teams and individuals. Her skills are built from her broad experience working in executive roles in Human Resources, Strategy, Sales, and Talent development. Her strengths and passion are in guiding her clients to achieve the best they can in their work life through building leadership skills, gaining self awareness, understanding goals, improving relationships, identifying behaviours which might be causing blocks to performance, reducing stress, capitalising on strengths and making change. She is skilled at facilitating leadership groups and generating tangible outcomes.
Belinda Jones

Belinda has been practicing as a psychologist for over fifteen years, working primarily with children, young people and families. She has worked in the non-government, school and private sector, engaging with children, young people and families who may be experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, educational, substance use and mental health difficulties.

Belinda uses an evidence-based, holistic approach, taking into account the presenting difficulties in context with family and situational factors, to develop a comprehensive plan for intervention and support. Using innovative and creative methods to engage with her clients in a meaningful way, Belinda seeks to understand a child or young person’s perspective, working with their interests and values to move towards positive outcomes.
Zoe Cox
BSc/BA(psych), MCouns
Zoë’s background in psychology and counselling has allowed her to develop a comprehensive therapeutic skill set in the area of family, adolescent and couples counselling. With 20 years experience working with horses and 10 years experience working with children and adolescents in a range of settings, Zoë has a particular passion for empowering young people. She understands the capacity of the Heads and Tails program to create positive change in both individuals and interpersonal relationships.

The Heads and Tails program allows Zoë to assist both children and adolescence in developing their self-esteem, confidence and awareness through the use of play-based activities in the powerful presence of horses.
Elle Levey
Equestrian Coach & Educator
Elle has spent the last 25 years working and playing with horses in a variety of settings. As a basic riding coach to both disabled and non disabled riders and working with children experiencing emotional and behavioral disorders, Elle is passionate about empowering children, young people and their families in learning new ways to be in relationship. She is committed and  enthusiastic about combing her love of children and horses in the therapeutic context.
